Lil Nas X and NBA YoungBoy Drop New Single “Late To Da Party”
Rappers Lil Nas X and NBA YoungBoy have joined forces for a new track. On “Late To Da Party,” produced by Take A Daytrip , Lil Nas X takes aim at the 2022 BET Awards , which he didn't receive any nominations for this year. Lil Nas X began teasing the song earlier this week with a roughly 30-second teaser advertising live performances from him and NBA YoungBoy at the awards show, calling it “culture's biggest night.” The rapper had a breakthrough year with two top singles, “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow and “Montero .” His debut album Montero was also certified platinum. BET has since responded to Lil Nas X with a statement citing his nomination at the awards last year, as well as his “Old Town Road” performance with Billy Ray Cyrus at the event in 2019: “He was nominated for a best new artist BET Award in 2020, and we proudly showcased his extraordinary talent and creativity on the show twice: He performed ‘Old Town Road' with Billy Ray Cyrus at BET Awards 2019 and his BET Awards 2021...
